| Interior design encompasses many things. It is as much a passion for some as it is a nightmare for others! If you aren’t particularly creative, interior design might seem overwhelming, whereas it might be the perfect adventure for someone who enjoys letting their imagination run wild.
If you are new to interior design, take it slow. Be patient with yourself and realize that designing involves a new way of thinking. If you don’t use your creative side very often, it might take a bit for you to wake it up and spring it into action! Remember that there are no right or wrong ways to do things when dealing with interior design. If you like what you’ve done, then you’ve done it right!
Look
at magazines, home decorating shows and the designs around you for
some inspiration. It’s okay to “steal” ideas that other people have
utilized in their own spaces. Just don’t try to follow what someone
else wants and likes. You’ll only end up unhappy. Focus on the colors
and textures you enjoy, and your Interior Design projects will
end up making you more excited than they do frustrated! |
